Track Vehicles with the new DISVU GPS DVR

The need for surveillance on the move has become apparent with an increase in crime rates in moving vehicles like freight forwarding vans, vehicles serving BPOs , schools, Cash Vans for ATM s and more.

Horrific stories of theft, rape and kidnappings are commonplace and most of these crimes have been committed en route a journey in a vehicle.

Monitoring on the Move

GPS technology offered some respite because a vehicle could be tracked throughout the journey. But it still wasn’t efficient enough because the inside of the vehicle could not be monitored.

But with the new DISVU GPS DVR, one can both track a vehicle as well as monitor the inside of the vehicle.

The system encompasses of one 4-channel DVR and 4 analog cameras which are hidden in the vehicle. The cameras capture the different parts of the vehicle and the data is stored in the DVR.

The DISVU GPS DVR can store up to 72 hours of recorded data which is stored in the AVI format. Once the vehicle reaches its destination, the data can be downloaded via a USB port and played on any standard computer system.

The Benefits of Mobile Monitoring

  • It is a mix of surveillance and GPS which is the most effective way to track a moving vehicle.
  • It is compact and can be installed without causing major repairs in the vehicle.
  • The cameras have a front view angle and a rear view angle which always enable a 120 degree view.
  • The cameras are equipped with a distress record mode in which they automatically start recording when a sudden shock is detected.
  • This data will remain intact and will not be overwritten.

The perfect Crime Deterrent

The GPS based surveillance system is the perfect crime deterrent across sectors. Be it banking, retail, finance, education or corporate, each one can benefit from the DISVU GPS DVR.

Watch out, you may be holding a fake note.

It is well known that fake currency notes are in circulation in India. Terrorism is changing its face; It is prominently the starting of a new form of terrorism called 'economic terrorism'.. Our economy is hoped to reach the eight to nine per cent growth. But, what will happen to an economy, which is being flooded by fake currencies?

An estimate suggests that more than Rs 1,69,000 crores of fake currencies are in wide circulation in our country and out of which more than Rs 40 crores may be in Uttar Pradesh itself.

Recent acts of economic terror has been found in Abid, in Doomariaganj of UP where from a bank’s currency chest fake notes have been seized. Though quantum of currency note is officially seized is not more than Rs 5 lakh, the deadliest part of this seizure is its negative impact on India’s growing economy.

Apart from that the quality of papers, the quality of printing are of such a fine quality that it is not possible to differentiate between a genuine and a fake one. It also highlights the fact that advanced technology is being used to print such fake notes and the people who get a fake note by chance, do not know what to do with it.

If they take it to the bank, it cancels it and deposits it with the RBI, which means losing the money because if the bank starts compensating everyone who comes to them, then every Tom, Dick and Harry will approach bank with a fake note. There is no way banks can replace them and if people try to ‘use’ it in the market, it becomes a criminal offence.

And what if you take the fake note to the police? A police officer will simply lodge a daily diary report, specifying the note denomination and number.

Fake currency notes in circulation seem to have more than doubled when it comes to denominations of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 in the past three years. The government has attributed the high quality of fake currency notes to being sourced from mints in neighbouring states.

While the police have made a major breakthrough in unearthing the various fake currency note operators' racket and recovering such fake notes, the Reserve Bank of India has also launched an elucidation drive as the number of fake notes received by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), from various banks is increasing. The Reserve Bank of India has issued instructions to banks to ensure that counterfeit banknotes are not dispensed through ATMs, following complaints.
A good number of soiled and worn out notes received by the RBI are also found fake. The data revealed that the 100-rupee note is the most circulated when it comes to fake currency and the latest fake note circulated is 10 rupees note.

7 most trusted home security tips

How to make sure your home security system is perfect for you? Check out these essential advice on home security systems.

7 Factors In Handling Home Security
Getting your own home security system won’t go as smoothly as you might think. Like every other purchases you’ll make, you’re bound to discover that in having a home security system there are also a few thing to consider and check upon.

There are 7 factors to consider when getting your home security system

1. Choosing your security company

This could mean a big risk to your safety. A security company who won’t live up to its obligations might become negligent to the potential risk you could be in.

You should go for a security company that has established trust among many and have proven that its products are reliable and effective. Make sure to communicate well with the security company, too. The company should have representation near you.

For home security in India check out www.digitalsindia.com

2. Installing your home security system

Home security systems won’t work well when installed incorrectly. It would be wise to consult with an installation expert, or better yet have the installation expert handle the installation. If installed the wrong way, your security system might not work and this’ll become a big problem when you will need help in the future.

Another frustration when a home security system is installed incorrectly is false alarms. It has been determined that one of the causes of false alarms is the wrong installation of home security systems.

Always make sure to check your home security system if it works properly when you get it installed.

3. Monitoring services

There are companies that allot their monitoring tasks to third parties. This would imply that not only do you have to check the background of your security company, you’d also have to check with the monitoring company it employs. Separate entities, separate levels of trust and reliability. Make sure to check with your monitoring company’s response time at least every month.

4. Compatibility with the phone line

For those using VoIP, you might want to check if your home security system is working compatibly with your phone line. There has recently been an issue that there are some security systems that do not work well with VoIP.

There is also what we call the “phone line seizure”. This means that your phone line is connected first to the control panel, and the control panel will direct the phone to the rest of the house. If you hear a sound like a phone number being dialed when you’re on the phone, this would mean that your phone line wasn’t connected properly to execute the phone line seizure.

5. The batteries

We all know the problem with batteries. They are not permanent. As they get older, they lose the ability to charge properly. Home security systems will give you a warning when the batteries are low, but it might still not be able to perform to its fullest because it’s not charged enough anymore. Worse case scenario will be if the power goes out and that’s only when you’ll know that your battery has insufficient charge to supply. You should always check your batteries, and call your monitoring company when a problem arises.

6. Proper location for your home security devices

You should always select the best possible places for your security devices. A motion sensor, for example, detects motion on an open area that it covers. If it is blocked, then the motion sensor would be useless. Smoke detectors will be able to detect smoke better when they’re placed in the center of the room (in the ceiling).

7. The kind of security devices you have

When it comes to home security, quality rises far ahead over quantity. No matter how many locks you install, if they’re all faulty and break easily, your investment might as well have gone down the drain.

It would also be better that you get the most durable and most effective if you can afford it. This applies to every device and equipment in your home, even if it’s just your back door lock.

Does CCTV makes you really secure?

The answer will be No. The most measurable effect of CCTV is not on crime prevention, but on detection and prosecution. CCTV reduce or deter crime. Shopowners and factory owners can benifit by constant surviellance on their premises. CCTV also bring about a psychological fear among the people that they are being watched.

CCTV is a boon in post incident investigations. But in some cases in has been seen that the equipment used for recording the incident was so poor that it was difficult to identify the thief recorded through CCTV.
